Caterpillars: The Loop and Hairy

Probably the best place in Singapore to find Caterpillars is Bukit Timah Nature Reserve Especially hairy ones. Within just a few trips during June, I shot a whole lot of them. Most of them were hairy and spiky, while a few were loop caterpillars. Both the loop caterpillars were dark.

And here comes the hairy ones....
-
-
This one had beautiful colours and was really spiky.

-
-
This one's probably the biggest species I spotted this time.
-
-
A average-sized brown.
-
-
Another colourful species that was very common there. Look at it from the front and it looks like a real face! It should be to scare away predators by showing them that frightening look.

-
Yet again another colourful but less-spikey species that was found munching on the leaves as we spotted it.
