After the Slender Skimmer, the next creature that came into my sight was this butterfly. It flew right up and sat on a fern beside me. Grabbed a few shots without flash since the sun was bright enough.

I used flash just one time to see the difference it makes. After using the flash, the butterfly in the photo resembled a leaf.

I think this one is a species of Evening brown. The flash is well needed to bring out the details. nicely captured.
Good shots. It is a chocolate pansy.
Thanks guys. I don't necesarily need the ID of the butterfly, but dtill, thanks. :)
You have some great shots. I look forward to following your stream and seeing more of them.
Hi Kerry,
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. The stream sure is full of wildlife, and of course, I've yet to see many creatures that reside there.
