Some Luck with Birds

Well after trying for months, I finally managed to get some more decent shots of Yellow-Vented Bulbuls in my school. Apparantly it was nesting season and I even got shots of...
Two little bulbul eggs in a small nest.

The same two eggs, tis time just that one of the eggs had hatched and the baby bird was slowly getting out of its shell. I was there at the right time! The mother bird wasn't there either. Here's one of the few shots I took of it. The dim yellow-green glow was caused by the leaves surrounding the nest.

Very soon I met up with a few more nests and their eggs. I was certainly pleased when I managed to take a snap of two young bulbuls waiting in their nest while the mother went hunting for food.

And finally, the hardest task: Shooting the adult bulbuls. Since they are fast and can fly off, I had the most difficulty shooting them. However, I didn't give up. I kept trying until one day I got two pretty decent shots of the adults.

Wow Shawn! Your lucky! The last time I've seen the bulbuls nesting, one or none of the eggs hatch. That one did not survive. Now your an ornithologist!
