Waiting With Long Legs

I decided to go night-hunting for a few hours, with just the help from a torch. I spotted this spider waiting and hiding under a leaf close to a stream. It had long legs; it was probably waiting to grab any unsuspecting prey that moves close.

The legs do make it look like it can swim on the surface of water. It was my first find of the night hunt and yet rather interesting. I decided to continue my walk along the small stream hoping to find more intersting creatures. It was pretty dangerous but I did have an older cousin to guide me.

It's a Slender Crab Spider (although not a Thomisidae), a member of the Tibellus genus.
